Forgot these were on my phone! Day tripped Tampa to visit friends and stumbled onto this unbelievable scene!
WebGL and add ons like this unity plug-in make it possible to demo mechanics in browser-based trailers.
We’re showing at e3 next month, and nothing that I know of makes our mechanics playable in a web-based trailer.
Gameplay is king, and presentation is queen, but traditionally trailers can only showcase (a highly marketed version of) presentation.
How does an object in coordinate space become pixels on a screen?
It goes through a series of transforms aka’d as the “rendering pipeline” that are illustrated perfectly in this demo.
You can see each transform starting with coordinate space and ending in pixel coordinates. Toggle the view frustum to see both coordinate and screenspace at the same time.
Gobelins student film… it’s the good stuff.
