Spacey on digital distribution...

"The audience wants the control. They want the freedom.
If they want to binge, then we should let them binge.

Any differentiation between platforms will melt away.  Is 13 hours watched as a cinematic whole really all that different than a film? Is a film only 2 hours? Is a film on tv no longer film? Is a tv show watched on a tablet no longer tv?

The labels are useless, except perhaps to the lawyers and executives and those conducting business deals.

To the consumer, there's no difference, it's all just content.
There's only story.

They'll tweet, facebook, blog, and force it on eachother, engaging with it with a passion and intimacy that a blockbuster movie can only dream of.

All we have to do... is give it to them."
